Who?
Cairn was raised in the wilderness of Montana, where she has spent a decade writing speculative fiction, wistful creative nonfiction, and an inordinate amount of poetry. Her works have appeared in Uncharted by Voyage, SHE the Magazine, and Summation42.
She holds a BA in English Writing & a BS in Psychology from MSU. She has presented her research at the Naylor Workshop; the Popular Culture Association Conference; the National Conference on Undergraduate Research; MSU’s Student Research Celebration; and MSU’s Senior Thesis Presentation in Psychology. Her research article “Linguistic Inclinations in Query Letters” was published in Young Scholars in Writing. Her studies in psycholinguistics will continue into graduate school starting Fall 2026.
When you can pry a pen or a paintbrush out of her hands, Cairn be found at home with her cat Cece, reading or compiling new loose leaf tea blends, or polishing her photography skills. Can’t find her? She’s probably not in the country. Cairn loves to explore the world; her family and friends have taken to asking, “Where to next?” by way of hello.
